For this type of Reading Support, you should create a comprehensive study guide over the assigned readings for the week.
Consider what information might be included on a test/quiz over the material, and include any and all details someone might need to study that information.
Keep in mind that study guides that are too detailed are impossible to memorize or study from and those that are too brief won’t provide enough support.
Your study guide can take any form but should represent best practices for learning content (think definitions, summaries, etc.). Chapter 8:(Outside Chapter, PDF page 74-81) Upon successful completion of this module, you will be able to:
Define the terms: population, sampling, sample, sampling frame, probability sampling, non-probability sampling, sample statistic, sampling distribution, confidence interval
Explain why sampling is important.
Describe a biased sample.
Describe the different probability sampling strategies.
Describe the different non-probility sampling strategies.
Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of non-probability samples.
