Career Counseling
The assignment is to write A REFLECTION PAPER
Utilize the Career Construction Interview protocol as outlined on Moodle to conduct the mock session. Students are expected to integrate skills based on assigned readings and videos in weeks 1 and 2.
Students will then complete a reflection on their process in both roles utilizing the following prompt:
What thoughts and/or concerns did you have coming into the practice experience?
Assess your role as a mock counselor. Identify and discuss 1 area of strength and 1 opportunity for growth.
What did you learn from this experience in the mock counselor role?
What did you learn from this experience in the mock client role?
What did you like about session process? What did you dislike?
What can you apply from this experience into your future work?
Students may choose to write a 2-3 page reflection paper.
These paired reflections will count as completed reflections for each student, as long as prompt requirements are met by each individual student.
