Communication theories
It is important that you consider the learning outcomes that you are required to be able to evidence through this piece of work. Students will be able to:
● Explain concepts of person-centered care including ethical, legal, political/policy and professional frameworks
● Demonstrate an understanding of research awareness, ethics and governance to promote and inform person-centered best nursing practice.
• Apply theories and strategies to demonstrate effective communication, including self-awareness, respect, care , compassion and non-discriminatory behavior in line with the NMC Code (2018), using a range of skills and strategies with colleagues and people at all stages of life with a range of mental, physical, cognitive and behavioral health challenges
● Apply principles of equality and diversity and recognizes duty of candor, recognizing and reporting any situations, behaviors or errors that could result in poor care outcomes within own limitations.
