1. How did the pandemic start? What started it? What was the cause?
The Spanish Flue of 1918, is usually known as one of the deadliest pandemics because it infected around 500 million people which was then a third of the world population and killed 50 million people in the time of its existence between 1918 and 1919.
It is not very clear where the virus originated but it said that it originated from China, although the first case was first noticed in Kansas United states and the victim was a military personnel. The flue was first recorded and observed in Europe, Asia and United states before it spread to the rest of the world. The flue was caused by a virus knows as H1N1 which has genes that originated from avian.
