On completion of this module, learners will be able to:
1 Analyse and critically evaluate the major features of national and international employment markets from which organisations source staff, and ways in which these markets change.
2 Play a leading role in the development and critical evaluation of resourcing and talent management strategies, flexible working initiatives and diversity management.
3 Critically evaluate recruitment, selection and induction processes and manage them effectively, efficiently, lawfully and professionally.
4 Undertake and critically evaluate long and short-term talent planning, workforce planning and succession planning exercises with a view to building long-term organisational performance
5 Critically evaluate performance management and performance appraisal as strategically integrated tools for enhancing organisational performance.
6 Gather, analyse and use information on employee turnover as the basis for developing robust staff retention strategies.
Manage retirement, redundancy and dismissal practices fairly, efficiently and in accordance with legal, ethical and professional requirements.
