An 8 page paper (double-spaced) responding to the following question through a central claim, a clear analysis, and use of supporting textual evidence. Your essay must deal with at least four texts assigned this quarter. Of these, one of the texts must be from readings from weeks 1a-6a (two may also be used from the earlier weeks) and two or three of the texts must be from weeks 6a-10a. You may, of course, write about more than four texts, where relevant. In analyzing the texts, be sure to consider the context—how were the authors’ ideas influenced by historical developments as well as by their own particular experience and commitments?
