This capstone paper can be based on your current work, past work, volunteer work, family experience or other real-world experience with a Human Service agency.
There are 12 Standards and you must write 3 pages per standard – one standard (3 pages) per week for the next 12 weeks. This paper needs to start with your being able to define what the standard says and what it means.
You need to speak to your experience by any of those pathways in working with that skill in real life. For example- Standard 1 is Empowerment. What does that mean? (do some research and note citations of what you find for the bibliography at the end of the paper). How have you empowered your clients? How have you been empowered in your life? Use whatever life examples you need to demonstrate you UNDERSTAND the Standard and have the SKILL SET needed to be a Human Service Professional who brings it to others upon your graduation.
