1. Given that multiculturalism is the inclusion of many different centricities in education, what is the relationship between Afrocentricity and multiculturalism?  Would a predominantly Afrocentric education have the same kinds of problems a Eurocentric one would, according to Asante?  Explain.

2. At the end of the article, Asante maintains that Afrocentricity is not anti-White.  How does he argue for this claim?  Some people have argued that multiculturalism generally is a dangerous threat to the curriculum as it is traditionally taught.  How might they argue for this claim?  Asante gives some examples though you could include other types of arguments as well.  Which side do you tend to agree with, and why?

3. How would someone go about testing the efficacy of Asante’s ideas about Afrocentricity?  Suppose it turns out that this approach does not have the positive outcomes that Asante predicts.  Should the project then be abandoned, or might there be other reasons for continuing it?
