Information Fluency and Academic Integrity
This Signature Assignment fulfills Core Competency #3, Information Literacy: Evaluate and cite credible academic sources in a discipline appropriate format.
Demonstrate critical thinking skills by researching a problem and identifying credible evidence to support your solution to it. To do so, you will evaluate sources in a reasoned, reflective, and informed manner. You must then explain why each source is credible and relevant.
These sources will form the foundation of your argument. If you cannot provide evidence to
the reader that they are authoritative, your audience will not be persuaded that your argument is trustworthy.
For this assignment, you will compile six authoritative sources into an annotated bibliography. This assignment is not an essay.
It is a small–scale version of an annotated bibliography (see the sample below). It will look like a References page, but with additional information about each
source/citation.
