2. Read the article Health Care Providers Can Use Design Thinking to Improve Patient Experiences.

3. While the consequences of missed appointments have been widely studied, what critical data have
been missing from these studies that could have been used to solve this problem?
4. Briefly describe the key step in the design thinking process.
5.Provide three examples from the article of how design thinking might be used to provide better
services and outcomes for patients.
6. Provide a brief description of the phases of the design thinking process presented in the
Designing a Patient–Centered Experience section of the article.
7. Give an example of how the Johns Hopkins Hospital is using the design thinking process to
improve the patient experience and care at the hospital.
