Reflect analysis of therapies that work equally well for different groups of individuals, identify psychological interventions that may be improved by culturally based adaptations, reflect on how providing a better understanding of the role of gender, race, and class on psychopathology and psychotherapy as well as developing cultural competence in clinicians through addressing each of the following statements; supporting all positions with recent, relevant, peer-reviewed research.
a) Discuss Depression, PTSD and anxiety disorder, then discuss how individuals experience each disorder; compare, contrast, and analyze how gender, race, and class affect the diagnosis of the psychological disorders. add information on gender, race, and class from the DSM-5, as it relates to depression, PTSD and anxiety,
b) Research, compare, contrast, and analyze how individuals from different groups (gender, race, class) may be treated differently by the mental health system.
c) Research and identify recommended evidence-based treatments that may work equally well for individuals from these different groups and analyze your findings.

d) Identify and analyze how the gender or race of a therapist matters in the process of diagnosis, treatment, or type of assessment instruments used.
e) Research and identify what differences gender, race, and class make in the overall treatment process; if there is a difference, discuss why.
f) Identify and discuss strategies for developing practitioner’s individual and cultural competence. Reflect on the APA’s Guidelines on Multicultural Education, Training, Research, Practice, and Organizational Change for Psychologists what are the six guidelines presented by the American Psychiatric Association for enhancing cultural competence
