Applied Ethics for Advanced Practice Nursing Reflection
- Preventative ethics is the process of anticipating and addressing potential problems before they arise. Many of the issues in healthcare that progress to the dilemma stage (choice between two or more equally bad alternatives) start off as minor communication problems. Think of one occasion from your practice when recognizing or addressing something early on would have diffused an incipient and difficult situation. What new insights do you have? Would you have done things differently in light of what you’ve learned in this course?
