(i) What are the aims and objectives of the project ?
The aim of the study will be to evaluate the innovation which are employed by energy organizations across Bahrain to meet the energy demands of the end users. Special attention will be given to the practices employed while producing electricity energy through the decentralized model. From a broader perspective, the study will also aim to reveal barriers and facilitators when transitioning energy models alongside how these challenges can be addressed and revealed through innovation management.
Objectives
This study will seek to:
1. Understand and analyze current and emerging challenges encountered by electricity organizations in Bahrain during the process of transitioning from centralized to decentralized models.
2. Identify the key modifications implemented by electricity organizations in Bahrain in response to the major challenges which are arising due to the adoption of centralized models of energy production and offer suitable solutions to resolve them.
3. Explore and analyze the external and internal factors that hinder the implementation of effective innovation management.
(ii) Briefly describe the principal methods, the sources of data or evidence to be used and the number and type of research participants who will be recruited to the project .
