The UK and Japan response to COVID-19 outbreak
Evaluates the legislative policies and decisions of both the UK and Japanese government towards the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic. The method of evaluating the success of their response will be research undertaken of informed sources and articles evaluated and measured against both their effectiveness and speed of implementation, resulting in the social and economic impact of their decisions.
In particular, this report focuses on the Japan ‘cluster approach’ and the UK’s vaccination program me, track and trace system and social enforcement policies implemented upon both the private and public sector. In order to understand the rationale of these polices and impact it has been essential to understand the nature in itself of how the Covid-19 outbreak permeates within the public population.
The political and economic repercussions are evident, although the possibility of preventing greater loss of life can also be argued if either government had greater efficiency of implementing effective and clear policies and rules for the public.
