This course taught me how to deal with my grief , because there’s no such thing as getting rid of it. Just like there’s no way to get rid of anxiety, you can only learn how to process through it. This has been my biggest takeaway from the class for I will apply it to my life for the rest of my life Now,on to my project.Initially, I wanted to do my project on anxiety and resilience. I planned to attack the idea that you can only reach resilience after you’ve truly come in peace with your anxiety. I think anxiety can vary broadly but at the roots of all cases, I believe you will find misunderstanding. As humans, we are always looking to make understanding of the most simple things, all the way to the most complex things. That’s why I believe one can
only truly be resilient once they reach a certain level of understanding of what they’re anxious about and why. It’s clear the common link between resilience and anxiety is lack of knowing. This path of thinking would actually lead me to a different focus. How do resilient people handle their lack of knowing differently from less resilient people? What makes you resilient?Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress.
