The Reflexive Account is neither a critical analysis such as you might write for a practice-based project, nor is it an essay such as you might write for one of your seminar or lecture-based units. This means you have the leeway to think widely about the placement in the milieu of the creative and cultural industries and to draw on wide ranging material that is relevant to this as well as on critical, theoretical and academic sources.
• What were the aims of the Placement? Consider the primary themes, practices and values that the Placement was intended to explore and how this relates to broader creative, professional, industrial practices and/or texts .
• During your Placement, what activities and experiences gave you insight into broader issues, challenges, practices in the industry? What were the most important logistical, organizational, technical factors that shaped your Placement, and how do these relate to broader trends and patterns?
• What are the effects of Covid-19 in the part of the creative and cultural industries that your Placement relates to? How is the film festival during COVID different from before?
• What do you know or understand at the end of your Placement that you didn’t know before?
