Introduction
“America is another name for opportunity. Our whole history appears like a last effort of
divine providence on behalf of the human race”. North
America is the third largest continent globally, and it covers “about 24,709,000 square kilometers , about 16.5% of the Earth’s land area and about 4.8% of its total surface”. North America is a continent located predominantly within the Northern Hemisphere. However, it is also known as a northern subcontinent within America.
