After watching Episode 1: The Signature Hour.
Jot down a “tweet” describing the most important message(s) of the film. Remember — only 140 characters! This a about 50 to 55 words.
Post this to our discussion board and be sure to review other students main take away(s) from the episode (The Raising of America.) Your post will be graded as “complete” or “incomplete.”

Online discussion will be devoted to episodes of our viewing series The Raising of America. Points from discussion will be awarded based on thoughtful participation, reflection on episode topics, and connection to personal experiences.

1. If tomorrow you could make one change to employment policies that would make life better for young children (or the children in your care and community), what would you change and why?
2. What single word best describes how the film made you feel? How is this film similar to or different from other media you have seen, read, or heard on this issue? In what ways does it confirm or challenge ideas you held?
