Aim and objectives
Include the aim that should be broad enough as to be able to incorporate the following objectives. The aim and objectives need to emerge from the literature based on the justification and relevance of the topic and on the research question.
The aim is the broad ‘’goal ‘’ and the objectives are the way to achieve my goal- the steps. For example, if the goal is to go at work at Huddersfield at 8am the objectives will be 1) to wake up at 6.30, 2) to take the personal key to my office, 3) to get the train towards Huddersfield at 7.15, and, 4) to take the bus at Huddersfield train station towards work at 7.40. The objectives commence with an active verb (to…) and if you achieve the objectives you should be able to achieve the goal, thus the objectives needs to be related to the aim.
Example of the research question: What are the experiences regarding lifestyle modification of post-MI individuals in West Yorkshire?
