Assessment Guidelines
Health Promotion Package – Weighting 30%
• In a group of 4-5 – Identify a health topic and produce a health promotion package to promote health to a selected target audience which will be exhibited at a Health & Wellbeing event
• Remember this is a proposal for a health promotion project so is theoretical. The health promotion event will display what could be used for a health promotion intervention.
A timeslot will be provided for your presentation for Monday, 11th January, 2021
Individual summary – Weighting 70%
• This involves the creation of an individual 1500 word summary of the group-work experience. This must include a rationale for the choice of the topic with links to government policy and relevant research, a justification of the target group, the setting the health promotion event theoretically could take place, the model and approach utilised and how the project would be evaluated. In addition, an analysis of the experience of working in a group is required, using team role and group formation theories (for example; Belbin, Tuckman).
• This must be supported by sound academic sources with full Harvard Referencing. Your grade will be affected if you do not remain within 10% below or above the specified word limit.
• The summary will be submitted via CANVAS before or on the 11th January, 2021 (before 2pm). If you have any queries please do not hesitate to email me sallyprice@wlv.ac.uk
