A dialysis pt who is deaf caught Covid 19 on the ward and suffered severely with covid symptoms that it affected their care being given. Pt usually on dialisiys three times per week however, due covid symptoms which are coughing, laboured breathing and his observation flactuating and not being stable, the pt struggled to complete their dialysis every other day. Staff nurse tried to start on dialysis for few hours but the pt struggled to remain stable. The pt was trying to remove the line on the groin area.
The pt continued to display physical aggression and the machine had to be stopped as it required the pt to be stable.
