This assignment represents your term project and is worth 40% of your overall grade. Not completing this assignment will result in your failure of this class. Pay close attention to the requirements of this assignment and make sure your deliverable meets them.
This task explores how to design a software interface that exhibits elements of human-centered and universal design principles.
A new Burger Joint is opening in your town, and the novelty about the restaurant is that there are no waiters or waitresses. Instead, there is a tablet at each table in the restaurant that allows the user to place their order, and the kiosk will notify the user when their order is ready to be picked up (the patron goes to a window to get their meal and bring it to their table) and everything in between.
You’ve been hired to design the interface for a self-service kiosk that allows the user to purchase their meal and interact with the system as needed. You have just implement the interface in the form of a prototype using Just In Mind Prototyping. You must also submit a document where you explain how each of the elements in the interface works.
For your prototype, justinmindprototyper allows for you to post the URL of the prototype. Create the prototype as it was being developed for a tablet device (7/10 inch device) and it does not matter if it is Apple or Android.
Your solution should demonstrate concepts discussed in this unit, including: human-centered design, good icons, localization (the restaurant might go global, so the owners want to use your system worldwide some day), principles of accessibility, and universal design principles. You should pay close attention to aesthetics as well as good design!
Your solution should be in the form of a document showing the screens of the interface and detailed discussion of how the user would interact with each screen. Your solution should be a comprehensive interface that compasses ALL aspects of the restaurant experience (welcome, ordering, selecting, paying, receiving). Your project should have AT LEAST 15 screens.
Your submission will have two deliverables:
1. Submit an URL for the prototype using justinmind prototype
2. A pdf document with the screens and annotations on how the application works (think of a manual).
3. .zip file with the exported HTML prototype
