This assignment emphasizes the development in the area of Decision Support Systems (DSS). It requires to use DSS development methodologies.
The assignment will use as a case study to demonstrate their ability to develop a DSS. The assignment requirements have been designed with the purpose of enhancing the theories and concepts introduced in the course.
It will also allow the student to produce a real decision support system (DSS). Students will demonstrate the ability to define the main problem, decisions that will be developed to support decision making process, define function and non-functional requirements.
Students will produce a DSS demonstrating their ability to use Analysis and Design methods in addition to their programming skills to produce a sound DSS reflecting all requirements.
The student should pick an area of interest to the development of information systems or enhancement of existing ones using advanced good practices of DSS. Showing the ability to be innovative and practical in developing a DSS.
