This synopsis or proposal should be based on a topic of your choice (see syllabus for the range of issues or policy areas on which you can base your topic).
The paper should articulate in paragraph or bullet format, with appropriate subheadings, the topic of your research, your research question, prospective unit of analysis and hypothesis, sources and methods of data collection, methods of data analysis, and the possible findings and policy recommendations.
You should also include a short literature review related to your topic and research problem. This proposal should range between 3 and 5 double-spaced pages.
However, it may exceed 5 pages if you can justify it with say, extended literature review and other source materials, and more description/explanation of subheadings on research question(s), hypothesis, sources of data and methods of data collection, methods of data analysis, expected findings and suggestions/policy recommendations, etc. It should be properly referenced using the Chicago Style of referencing. (I have already provided a link to a specific part of the Chicago Manual of Style which you review and use for this assignment and the main or full research paper).
