Describe which of Kübler-Ross’s stages of grief are most applicable to Jackie’s situation. Explain your response. Jackie is likely experiencing several stages of grief simultaneously. She has reached the point of acceptance.
She understands the finality of death, but this does not come without other emotions. She is bargaining, acutely feeling the regrets of the “could have been.” She likely feels a sense of depression as she has lost her mobility and independence and a religion that has previously brought her peace and comfort.
