EVALUATION OF THE SHORT ASSIGNMENT
Please note that the criteria for this evaluation are the same criteria set out by York University’s Senate Policy on grading:
•How well does the student know the theories and their concepts?
•Is there evidence of a close reading of the assigned texts?
•Does the student’s use of the concept include originality and skill?
•Has the student discussed all the relevant issues that would be discussed?
•How well can the student pinpoint the concepts within the article?
•How well have the students synthesized and incorporated course readings in their analysis?
•Does the student’s analysis include original thinking?
